A devout Catholic, Helen spent time each day in prayer and always had a bottle of holy water waiting and ready to sprinkle on the people who mattered most in her life. Helen was a wonderful caregiver to all and took great pride in her work as an RCW, dedicating 10 years to the service to the seniors of Wedgewood Manor. A loyal friend, Helen was always ready to share a hot cup of tea and lend a listening ear. She enjoyed a good laugh, a shared meal, and putting on her dancing shoes. Helen was an active member of various community groups throughout her life. Helen was the proudest of her children and grandchildren and she made her love for them known daily.

Together they ran the local jewelry store, “Halupa Jewellers” on Main Street in Alberton for many years. He will be fondly remembered as an Uncle to his many nieces and nephews as well as a dear friend to many. Forever a treasured ‘Bopi’ to his grandchildren; Rebecca, Hayleigh, Rachel, Jillian, Riley, Joel, Mackenzie, Evan, Sydney, Kylie, and Cameron. He was born in Duvar, Prince Edward Island to his late parents Mary Phyllis Peters and Joseph William Peters.

The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, October 23, 2005, of Ruby Ryder, of Wedgewood Manor and formerly of Wellington, aged 68 years. Born at St. Raphael, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Margaret Ryder. Survived by sisters Doreen MacLeod, Edmonton, Alberta; Orpha Dueweke, Michigan, U.S.A.; brother Ralph Ryder, Summerside; by special niece Janice Perry, Miscouche; and by several nephews. Predeceased by a brother Vernon Ryder and by a brother-in-law Bill MacLeod. Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, of Mike “Pinky” Gallant, of Summerside, aged 61 years.

Donations in memory of James can be made to the PCH Foundation. Beloved husband of Wendy and loving father of Kris, Marc , Kim Carter. Also lovingly remembered by four grandchildren, Ian, Eli, Adeline and Bridget. The death occurred suddenly on Monday, October 10th, 2022 of Irma Mary Perry of Summerside, P.E.I. aged 73 years.

The death occurred, with his loving wife of 69 years by his side, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, June 13, 2019, of Leslie “Les” Homans, of Summerside, aged 93 years. Born in Derby, England, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice Homans. He resided in the Greater Toronto Area for many years where his children and grandchildren live. After retirement, he spent the last eight years of his life back in the province of his birth. He enjoyed spending time experimenting in the kitchen, fishing and found great pleasure when he discovered his passion for Geocaching. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Arsenault and the late Louis MacPhee.

Born in London, England, he was the son of the late Laurence and Agnes Walsh. Survived by a brother John Walsh, England; nieces Catherine and Elizabeth Walsh, both of England; and by dear friends Dr. Rainer Zenner and Debby Chappell.

Predeceased by her brother Howard Perry and sister Myrtle Perry. A special thank you to the staff of South Shore Villa and PEI Home Care for their continuous care and support. A sentimentalist with a heart of gold, and a Jack of All Trades, Bob lived every day of his life helping others. Funeral services followed by a reception for Ruth and Ronald will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on St. Laurent Blvd. Special thanks to all the staff, nurses, caregivers and physicians at Andrews of Stratford for the care, dedication and support given to Bertha. The East Prince Funeral Home should be notified immediately by the hospital, nursing home, other institution, clergy or family member.

Born in Kinkora, she was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Sadie Roberts. James took pride in his time served in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Airframe Tech and later as a Flight Engineer for a total of 30 years. In retirement, James enjoyed his time curling, collecting stamps and had a passion of cooking for his family. Though he wouldn’t consider it a talent, James had a way of expressing himself through writing and has shared many of his stories with loved ones throughout the years.

Predeceased by her son in-law Paul Luce, brother in-law James Draper and several brother’s in-law. Peacefully, surrounded by his family, Leo ‘Clarence’ Doyle of Summerside, P.E.I., passed away on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, aged 92 years. Clarence was born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. to the late Leo and Georgina Doyle. A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Provincial Palliative Care Centre for their continuous care and support over Marilyn's final months. Joey was born in Summerside to his parents Robert "Bobby" Craig and the late Freda Craig.
